2018 Toyota 86 Model Review with Prices, Photos, & Specs

The Origins of the Toyota 86
With its light body, rear-wheel drive chassis and nimble handling, the AE86 Hachi Roku Corolla was a force to be reckoned with on the track and the streets. Toyota took this AE86 DNA and gave it a modern twist to create our purest sports car yet–the 2018 Toyota 86. Formerly the Scion FR-S, this potent rear wheel drive sportscar is powered by a 2.0-liter flat-four engine. With its horizontally opposed pistons and compact packaging, this engine sits low in the chassis for optimal balance and performance.
Key Features of the Toyota 86
Standard LED Taillights in the rear and LED Daytime Running Lights up front accentuate the cutting-edge style of the 86 and ensure this sports car gets noticed — coming and going. The standard transmission in the 86 is a close-ratio 6-speed that delivers breathtaking acceleration and impressive fuel economy.
The sequential automatic features a manual shift mode, allowing you to select the gear you want via either the gear-select lever or steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. A standard Display Audio System and 7.0-inch touch-screen keeps your music at your fingertips, and an all-new Granlux trim gives off a sophisticated side of 86 with suede-like accents on the door panels, dash and upper-seat bolsters.
